English Bulldog Rescue of Ontario (EBRO) is a registered Canadian Charity. We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to helping English Bulldogs in need. Our mission is to rescue homeless, abandoned, abused, injured, and unwanted English Bulldogs and to rehabilitate them medically and/or behaviourally in order to prepare them for placement with loving adoptive families We focus on helping and give priority to senior bulldogs and those with special medical needs.
EBRO is a foster-based rescue which means we have no shelter or facility. Any dogs we take into care are placed with our pre-approved foster families while we search for their forever homes. As a foster-based rescue, there is never a guarantee that we will have space available, and our priority remains with animals who are in need of the most urgent help.
Our English Bulldogs are rescued from a variety of circumstances. We take in strays, transfers from high-kill shelters, surrenders from families who are no longer able to provide care for their bulldogs, and other various situations such as puppy mills and hoarding situations.
EBRO is a non-profit, volunteer run organization. We are a Canadian registered charity, and provide official donation receipts for tax purposes for all donations over $20.
Foster homes are the foundation of our rescue organization. As a foster parent or family, you provide a temporary warm and loving home until a forever home is found.
Every bulldog is different. Personality, temperament, energy level and, comfort with kids and other animals. Many of our adoptables are seniors or have special needs. Our goal is to make the best possible match by taking great care in finding the perfect forever home.
