If you are interested in being added to the waiting list for adoption of an English Bulldog, we encourage you to fill out our adoption application and indicate "Waiting List" under the name of dog being applied for.
Our waiting list applicants are not considered on a first come, first served basis, but rather on a best possible match basis. Each of our bulldogs have unique needs and we therefore carefully screen all applications received in order to make the best possible match. Please be advised that due to the necessity of pre-screening our applicants with home checks and meet & greets leading up to adoption, we do give preference to those residing within a 2 HOUR RADIUS of Peterborough, Ontario in order to accommodate our volunteers driving schedules. WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE PROVINCE OF ONTARIO.

EBRO’s goal is to match our English Bulldogs with the perfect forever homes. Our application process is not on a first come, first served basis. Instead, we look for the home that best suits the dog’s needs. Even though our application process may seem a bit overwhelming to some, please remember that most of the dogs we take in have been through a lot, so our priority is to place each dog in the best possible home. If you have never owned an English Bulldog and are considering adoption, please refer to our “About English Bulldogs” page before applying. English Bulldogs may look adorable, but they come with many quirks, health issues, and daily maintenance requirements. English Bulldogs are not for everyone!
What to Expect
When you submit an adoption application, you will be considered along with all other applications received for that dog. We normally get multiple applications for each dog and sometimes its difficult to choose because there are several great applicants. If you are not selected for the dog for which you have applied, please don't be discouraged. We will keep your application on file for 12 months. While we will keep your application on file, please continue to keep an eye on our available dogs and let us know if you see one that catches your eye or steals your heart. If you see another dog that you would like to be considered for, please contact us by email at EnglishBulldogRescueOntario@gmail.com to let us know of your interest.
If you are ready to bring an English Bulldog into your home, rescue is a terrific option. Adopting a Bulldog can bring a loving new family member into your home that will soon become a treasured companion.
